My Story Day One

It’s been a long and windy road in my short Twenty Seven years of life.

I don’t truly know where it began. All of a sudden I was kind of here. I guess that’s all our case really. One day we are just here. Conceptualized and running around viewing the world through perspectives not even our own. Perspectives prescribed and imbued upon us by whoever raised us or whatever “societal norms” we were raised in.

I can’t pretend to have all the answers, but knowing you can’t have all the answers is the best place to begin learning one’s self and the world around them. To know we can not know the blight of others and to know the world is not all our own save for what we build and make our own.

We love and we live and we grow or we die.

The power to build where we are planted or to replant and find soil and a lifestyle that fuels us is something we each must find within ourselves.

My story has felt like an eternity but in reality it’s happened at the blink of an eye. Living here and now through mindfulness and building a self appreciation has allowed me to grow in ways I never dreamed possible.

I will not pretend to know the answers, if you won’t pretend to presume you’ve already come equipped with the best questions. With patience and understanding we will grow together.

Because once we know better we do better.
